Leflunomide is an immunosuppressant medication that is used primarily for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. It acts by causing a block in the synthesis of pyrimidine.<\/p>\n

Contraindications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leflunomide is contraindicated in: Patients with impaired liver function. Patients with significant impairment of bone marrow function or with anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia or major thrombocytopenia due to causes other than rheumatoid arthritis.<\/p>\n
